Kevin Michael Costner was crazy about acting; his dream and his life. He left his job of Marketing Executive and searched for jobs that would help him enhance his acting skills. He worked as a tutor, truck driver and even as a fisherman. Early Life
Kevin was born in January 1955 in California. His early life in pursuit of becoming an actor was full of struggle. He worked odd jobs and learned acting in night classes. He met the actor Burton during a flight and expressed his interest in acting. After listening to Costner’s desires, he remarked:
“You have green eyes. I have green eyes. I think you’ll be fine.”
Career Highlights
Costner’s first widely acclaimed movie was “Untouchables” in which he starred as a federal agent. The second major role was in the thriller “No Way Out”. He ascertained his status as a top ranking actor with his role in the baseball themed movies “Fields of Dreams” and “Bull Durham”. He remains in close proximity of sports activities with regular appearances in the celebrity golf tournaments.
During the shooting of his hit movie “Robin Hood”, he attended a game of football club Arsenal and is their fan since then. He is also the lead singer of a country rock band Kevin Costner and Modern West which was founded with the support of his wife Christine. Costner may have started his acting career as a side star but has surely become untouchable in the acting world.
