Seth Rogen was born on 15th April, 1982 in Vancouver, British Columbia (Canada). At age 38, he has enjoyed success as a comedian, writer, producer as well as an actor. He started his career in 1999.
Seth Rogen won the Canadian Comedy Award for his role in “Superbad” in 2008. He has been nominated for other awards, as well.
Career Highlights
Seth started his comedy career with a second place finish in a “Canadian Comedy Talent Contest” when he was just 16 years old. He then moved to the US to try his luck first at acting, then writing and acting, then writing, acting and producing.
Of course, it was his innate comedic abilities that got him noticed and have kept him on the go. His first major film role came in the box office hit, “the Forty-Year-Old Virgin” in 2005. The TV shows he has been a part of include “Freaks and Greeks”, “Preacher” and “Undeclared” among others.
Seth’s natural, deadpan funny-man talents combined with his ability to feel the part (probably because he writes many of his own lines) makes him believable in his roles.
His strong suit is, obviously, being funny. His weakness as an actor is that he has yet to find his way into a truly dramatic role. His ability to “act” is called into question by his steady diet of funny film parts. Perhaps we will find out what level of acting talent Seth possesses when he decides to branch out and take on a theatrical part.
