Madonna Louise Ciccone, better known as Madonna is one of the best known faces in American music industry as well as in Hollywood.
Born on 16th August, 1958 in Michigan, United States, Madonna started her career as a singer in 1982 and went on to become one of the best and most liked singer in United States in particular and worldwide in general.

Madonna stepped in the world of acting to further enhance her career and appeared in “A Certain Sacrifice” in 1979. She appeared in “Desperately Seeking Susan”, for which she won critical acclaim and the movie proved to be a good commercial success.
Having successfully played her role in “Desperately Seeking Susan”, she got many movies including, “Shanghai Surprise” released in 1986, “Who’s That Girl”, “Bloodhounds of Broadway” and refused to play a role in “The Fabulous Baker Boys”. In 1992, the movie titled “A League of Their Own”, which also starred Tom Hanks, earned Madonna good reviews and the movie met with instant box office success.
Her other movies including, “Body of Evidence” (1993), “Dangerous Game” (1993), “Four Rooms” (1995), also received good reviews. She appeared in many movies in cameo roles including, “Blue in the Face” (1995), “Vision Quest Girl 6” (1996) and “Die Another Day” (2002).
She won a Golden Globe Award in the category for “Best Actress in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy” for her role in Evita. Her song “You Must Love Me” did win the Oscar award but she couldn’t manage to win the nomination for her movie let alone the award.
