Famke Beumer Janssen is a renowned former model and actress of Netherlands. She was born on 5th November, 1964 in Amstelveen, Netherlands and started her career in 1992.

Famke Janssen started her career in 1992, appearing in a TV series titled “Star Trek: The Next Generation”. In 1992, she appeared in her debut movie titled “Fathers & Sons”.

In 1994, she appeared in three popular TV plays titled “The Untouchables”, “Melrose Place” and “Model by Day”, before getting a major role in the movie titled “Relentless IV: Ashes to Ashes”.

The major breakthrough in her career came in 1995, when she appeared in the role of Xenia Onatopp in the movie “GoldenEye”. Following the success of “GoldenEye”, she appeared in a number of leading roles in movies like “Lord of Illusions”, “City of Industry” and “Monument Ave”.

In 1998, she appeared in 8 movies including “The Gingerbread Man”, “Deep Rising”, “Rounders” and “Celebrity”.The year later, she landed a high profile role in “House on Haunted Hill”, which won her critical acclaim and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award nomination.

In 2001, she appeared in “Don’t Say a Word”, followed by the award winning role in thriller “X-Men – The Last Stand”. Famke Janssen won nomination for MTV Movie Award for Best Fight for the movie “GoldenEye” in 1995.

In 1999 she appeared in “The House on Haunted Hill” and won Blockbuster Entertainment Award nomination for favourite supporting actress category. In 2001, she won her second Blockbuster Entertainment award nomination for her performance in “Don’t Say a Word” followed by Teen Choice Award nomination for “X-Men-The Last Stand”.

The major highlight of her career was in 2006 when she won Saturn Award for best supporting actress for her role in “X-Men: The Last Stand”.
