Open Era has been a treat for some of the female players in the Australian Open as they got the chance to win the Australian Open championship in straight sets.
It was the American professional player Serena Williams who managed to make her way into the Australian Open championship titles list. Serena holds the record for winning the most number of Australian Open titles (5) in the Open Era. Serena Williams is the only player to have won the Australian Open title on both grass and hard courts.
