Ali Haider is a very famous artist, mostly recognized as one of the best pop singers from Pakistan. Ali Haider is born in the year 1967 in Karachi on 22nd October. In early 90’s Ali was more associated with Pop genre especially due to his song Purani Jeans.

Purani Jeans rose to fame quickly after its release due to its catchy yet somewhat relatable lyrics. The video too was very funky with a little drama. The song majorly revolved around college life and the teenage life. Ali released his first album in 1988 and after that around 16 albums have been launched in his usual pop way of singing.
Ali Haider is one of the versatile stars; he likes to write his songs and he also likes to act. He has taken roles in several dramas on PTV. One of his great hit dramas is Chand sa Mukhra for which he sung the theme song of the serial.
Ali has sung various nauhas too (religious words usually in respect of Shuhda-e-Karbala). In 2009, it was reported that Ali Haider left the music career completely. He took a turn and focused completely on naat and nauhas.
In 2011, though, he took taken a turn again and became a little inclined towards the music industry. He does not sing pop songs but recently has started singing various sufiana kalaams. In 2012, he returned to music after a three year break following the death of his son.
The recognition of Ali Haider is primarily due to his sung pop songs and he has given many popular songs to the Pakistani music industry. He is currently disc jockey at Radio Dabang in Texas. He hosts a show called Purani Jeans, named after his popular song.
