Bollywood awards are becoming more and more colorful with each passing year. The awards are grooming fast and Filmfare awards are no exception. 2009 Filmfare Awards (which were the 54th Idea Filmfare Awards) were no exception.
The event was star studded as expected. More than any other awards show, Filmfare awards get a lot of attention due to the fact that usually the ceremony is hosted by Shahrukh Khan with Saif Ali Khan but this year it was different.
Idea Cellular and The Times Group presented these awards. Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor hosted these Awards at Yash Raj Studios. Jodha Akbar and Rock On won the most number of awards.
The most nominated movies in different categories were Rock On and Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi. In addition to these, movies like Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na, Dostana, Ghajini and Rashion did a brilliant business and provided the much wanted Indian masala, drama and melodious songs.
