Charlize Theron is an American-South African Actress, a professional fashion model, film producer as well as a director.
Born on 7th August, 1975, Charlize Theron started her career as a fashion model, back in 1990s and due to some problems she could not continue her modeling career and stepped in the field of acting. Her debut film “Children of the Corn III: Urban Harvest” was released in 1995, in which she had a non-speaking role.

In 1996, Theron appeared in “2 Days in the Valley”, which brought her much-needed attention which earned her significant roles in movies like “The Devil’s Advocate” released in 1997 and followed by “Mighty Joe Young” in 1998.

Her biggest success came in 2003 with her role of a serial killer in “Monster”, which earned her Academy Award in the category for Best Actress in 2004. She also won Golden Globe Award as well as SAG Award for the same movie.
She also holds the distinction of being the first South African to win the most cherished award in Hollywood, the Oscar award. Her back to back successful movies saw her become one of the highest paid Hollywood actresses in 2006.
In 2004, she was nominated for the Golden Globe award for her performance in the mini-series “The Life and Death of Peter Sellers”, followed by an Academy award and Golden Globe award nominations in the category of best actress for her performance in movie “North Country”.
