Bollywood awards are becoming more and more colorful with each passing year. The 47th Filmfare Awards were held in Mumbai on February 16, 2002. Aamir Khan ruled this year with his absolutely fantastic duos Dil Chahta Hai and Lagaan, Lagaan being the winner of most awards.
Although there are many award shows that take place every year, FilmFare awards are still very special. One reason for the specialty held by Bollywood FilmFare awards is that these are the oldest and thus the most prestigious awards in Indian film industry.
2002 Filmfare awards (47th Filmfare Awards) were colorful and exciting awards show as the previous Filmfare awards ceremonies. With the passage of time however Filmfare ceremonies are becoming grander than ever.
2002 Filmfare Awards were also special because of Lagaan. Lagaan was nominated as best foreign language movie in the Oscar Academy awards. It was a brilliant movie based on pre-partition India, where a cricket match decided the status of tax collection rules. Aamir Khan acted brilliantly in this movie.
