Hassam Qazi was a great and one of the best actors of PTV Quetta center. He was born on 4th March, 1961 in Quetta. Hassam Qazi was very passionate and dedicated about his work. He studied from Quetta University. He was a very devoted artist. He started his acting career in 1980s.
Hassam Qazi joined Radio Pakistan, Quetta Centre, as a Balochi news reader, during his student life. After completion of his education, he adopted education line as his profession. He started his career as a lecturer of Commerce. He performed in PTV classic dramas in Urdu as well as Balochi and Brahvi plays and serials.
Later on, Mr. Hassam Qazi joined theatre with his friend Jamal Shah. After getting the experience in theatre, He joined TV, and started his acting career in dramas. His first play was Khaali Hath which was in Baluchi language. His first Urdu play was Chaon which was aired in 1986. Some of his popular plays are, Sangchoor, Choan, Khaal Haath, Pinjra, Marvi, Violin Aur Munazza to name a few.
He gained immense success and fame through Sangchoor and Marvi. He played a negative role in Marvi and gained a lot of appreciation. Unfortunately, we lost such a fine artist very soon. On 3rd July, 2004, he died due to colossal heart attack in the city of Karachi. He was only 43 years old when he died. His last play was Miti Ki Moorat.
Today it has been 16 years, since Late Mr. Hassam Qazi is not with us. But he will always remain alive in our hearts. He was indeed a great human being and a very true friend. Hassam Qazi is among those actors who are respected, followed and loved by the audiences from all over Pakistan.
