Royal Sporting Club Anderlecht, commonly known as RSCA or simply Anderlecht football club, is an international Belgian professional football club located in the city of Anderlecht, Belgium.
The club was established on May 27, 1908, reaching the highest level in ‘Belgian Pro League’ in 1921/22 season they are performing regularly in the top flight since 1935/36 Belgian Pro League.
They are regarded as one of the most successful football teams of Belgium, winning 30 championship titles, and even in Europe, winning the major 5 trophies.
Roger Vanden Stock is the current active chairman of the club while the club plays under the managerial ship of Ariel Jacobs. Anderlecht’s home ground is ‘Contant Vanden Stock’ with the capacity of 22,000 spectators.
Anderlecht football Clubs are more often nicknamed “Purple & White”, “Sporting” and “Paars-wit in Dutch”. They play home games in White and Purple combination jersey with White shorts while away games in Black and Purple combination jersey with Black shorts.
Anderlecht had won the first major title in the 1946/47 season after the end of World War II. Since then, they have never fallen below the 6th position in the Belgian top division.
They are ranked 12 on the all-time list of UEFA club competition winners and are currently ranked 45th according to the UEFA 2010 team ranking. The best ranking they achieved on the European level is 1st along with Joint holders Juventus Football Club.
