Popular football player Diego Ribas or just Diego is a 26-year-old Brazilian born footballer (born 28 February 1985) who plays his football for the German Football Club VFL Wolfsburg.

He plays as an attacking midfielder or playmaker stands in at 1.75 meters (5 feet and 9 inches) and wears the number 28 shirt for his club. He’s also represented Brazil on the international stage.

Diego started his career at Santos after breaking into their senior team from their youth team in 2002. He made 64 appearances for them and stayed there till 2004 after which he caught the eye of a Portuguese football club, Porto.

Diego Ribas stayed at Porto till 2006 and helped them win the Portuguese Liga in 2006 and the Intercontinental cup in 2004. He then moved to Weder Bremen where he won the German League Cup in 2006 and the German Cup in 2009.

After his stay at Weder Bremen, Diego Ribas headed over to Italian giants Juventus football club in 2009. He stayed at Juventus for just one year and had a pretty average season there. After which in 2010 he finally decided to move to German football club VFL Wolfsburg.

He’s also represented Brazil on the international level and won various trophies with them. Diego Ribas won the Copa America twice in 2004 and 2007 and he also was an Olympic Medalist with The Brazilian team in 2008 (Bronze) in Beijing. Diego is described as a great playmaker with great and clinical passing skills.
