Mamadou Sakho is a 21-year-old French Footballer born in Paris (13 February 1990) of Senegalese descent. Mamadou Sakho plays his football for the French club Paris Saint-Germain as a defender. He stands at 1.87 meters (6 feet and 2 inches).

Mamadou Sakho also represented The French National team after making his breakthrough into the team in 2010. Sakho started his youth career in Paris in 1996 before moving to Paris Saint-Germain’s youth system in 2002. He played for their youth team till 2007 before finally making the breakthrough into PSG’s senior team in 2007.

After a slow transition, he started making a name for himself at PSG and put in fine performances for PSG. He’s represented PSG a total of 102 times so far.

The 2010/2011 season is considered his best season to date after he was voted in the UNFP Ligue 1 Team of The Year for the 2010/2011 season and also voted as UNFP Ligue 1 Young Player of The Year for the 2010/2011 season.

Sakho is often criticized for his bad behavior on and off the pitch which has often seen him get labeled as a bad boy of football but he’s put aside all his troubles and off the pitch problems to put in commanding displays at the back for PSG.

His strengths lie in his aerial abilities in and around the box. Also, his commanding stature and control make sure he controls the defense of the team the way he wants to. He’s also represented France from The U16 level to the U21 level.
