Utho Jago Pakistan! Rings some bells? Yes, I am talking about none other than Dr. Shaista Wahidi, one of the leading TV anchors of Pakistan. Shaista has a pleasant personality, with great looks and active brain. She is one of the best Hosts of Pakistani shows at the moment.
Shaista was born in Karachi on November 26, 1977. She is super host Sahir Lodhi’s sister. Shaista is a doctor of medicine. She completed her MBBS in 2000. But her interest was always in media.
Shaista started her career from Radio. She then led to News anchoring. Later on she started doing commercials and hosting shows. Her very first show as a host was a live discussion program, Shaista and U. Her show Aap Barah e Raast was highly appreciated and her hosting came into lime light.
She then got a chance to host a morning show on ARY digital, named, Good Morning Pakistan. Later, Shaista got associated to Geo TV and started hosting a morning show Utho Jago Pakistan. She hosted the show till it got suspended in 2014.
She was also the producer of this morning show. She hosted Memaan Nawaz on See TV and is now hosting Geo Subha Pakistan on Geo TV. In 2020, Shaista Lodhi was appointed the Peshawar Stallions in Jeeto Pakistan League in Ramadan Special. She got the role of Sumaira in the TV serial Waada.
Shaista has been awarded Dalda Expert Mom Award in 2009, and Pakistan Media Awards for Best Anchor in 2010. She also won Dalda Expert mother Honorary Award in 2008. Dr. Shaista Wahidi has two cute sons and one pretty daughter. She moved to South Africa with her three children and returned to Pakistan in 2015 and hosted the show Sitare Ki Subha.
