The Medibank International is the oldest tennis tournament in the history of the game. The tournament started back in 1885 when colonial officials were looking to find tennis players in different colonies. That was the reason that this tournament was initially held.
After its substantial success, it became a regular event on the tennis calendar. Even the team selection for Davis Cup depends heavily on the player’s performances in the tournament. The tournament has been a part of the Grand Prix Tennis Tour from 1970 to 1989. The entire arena has 15 outdoor hard courts. The tournament has prize money of $600,000.

Heineken Open is helping in Auckland, New Zealand under the supervision of the Association of Tennis Professionals. It is one of the largest events in tennis.
