Sean Connery was born in Scotland on 25th August 1930. He served for the Royal Navy which he had to quit owing to his health conditions. He had a couple of tattoos on his body since the childhood which represented his lifelong commitments, “His Family & His Country”.

The creator of “James Bond”, Ian Fleming was initially doubtful about selecting Sean Connery for the role but later went on with it because Sean possessed the sexual charisma required for role. The premiere of first movie “Dr. No” was so effective that Fleming created a half-Scottish, half-Swiss heritage for the literary James Bond in the later novels. All the seven movies were commercially successful. The first major role of Connery was in the melodrama “Another Time, Another Place” as a British reporter named caught in a love affair with Lana Turner. In 1959, Connery was casted in a leading role in Walt Disney Production “Darby O’Gill and the Little People”. The film is considered to be one of the best fantasies ever filmed.
