Robin McLaren Williams was American actor and more importantly a standup comedian which earned him a lot of acknowledgement in his filming career as well. Born on 21st July 1951, he shared ancestry of English, French, Irish, and Welch. He committed suicide in August 2014 at the age of 63. He earned fame from his TV series “Mork and Mindy” in which he played the role of an Alien. He has the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the movie “Good Will Hunting”.

McLaren was a very quiet child until he joined the drama society at this college. He appeared as the alien Mork in the hit TV series “Happy Days”. Mork was an exceptionally popular character, featured on posters, lunchboxes, coloring books and other merchandise. Williams’s movie career rocked with “Good Morning, Vietnam” with a nomination for an Academy Award. He has several comedies tinged roles to his credit. The voice overs done by Williams have established the star power in voice actor casting section of industry. The roles such as Genie in “Aladdin” & Dr. Know in “Artificial Intelligence”. His association with Walt Disney didn’t end on good terms but his voice in different character has been as asset for the animated film making.
William had a strong bond with sports and games. He even named his children after gaming characters, his daughter after Princess Zelda from “The Legend of Zelda” action-adventure game. He was a great fan of professional road cycling and rugby union. Williams appeared in the music video of Bobby McFerrin’s hit song “Don’t Worry, Be Happy”.
