Shia Saide LaBeouf was born on 11th June, 1986 in Los Angeles, California. LaBeouf began his career when he was 10 years old acting in small comedic roles. Shia LaBeouf is growing up as a person and an actor.
Like many child stars that make the rough transition from TV to movies and from child roles to adult, he had a few rough performances and roles that were imminently forgettable. Strangely, a couple of blockbuster films make the public forget those past mistakes very quickly
Career Highlights
LaBeouf acting career took off in 1998 when, at the age of 12, he landed a role in the Disney® television series, “Even Stevens”. He segued into adult movie roles in 2003 in a film entitled “Holes” and is best known for his roles in the “Transformers” movies. In 2008, Shia was involved in a serious automobile accident that almost cost him the use of left hand.
While his earlier career relied heavily on his own self-proclaimed comedic abilities, later films allowed LaBeouf to develop as an actor. He got favourable reviews from critics for several of his films, including some of his earlier roles such as his part in the film “Disturbia”.
Of course, his big career boost came in 2007 with the first of the “Transformers” films. LaBeouf won the 2008 BAFTA Rising Star Award and has had some nominations for other awards, but no big wins except at the Box Office. For a young man, Shia LaBeouf’s body of work is an interesting mixture.
